Yesterday I moved from Lakeside (west Singapore) to Punggol (northeast Singapore), as to live in a nearer place towards to our new company address. Have started a new life here!
Actually, there is a strong reason for me to leave Lakeside: that is the network connection speed. I don’t know what’s going on with the Internet connectivity around this area, but seems both Singtel and StarHub are very poor with their services; many people have complained about this but nothing happened to save the situation. At this time as I am writing, if in Lakeside, the Internet speed is only 0.3 to 0.6 Mbps! How a technical geek can suffer from this speed?
Today, I tested both my Singtel Mobile and the StarHub home internet speed, I am using an iPhone with Singtel Mobile services, and a landline broadband with StarHub. From Singtel Mobile, I got the following speed:

While using StarHub home broadband, I can even get up to 6 Mbps!

This is the speed on a network jam period. Imagine how I can enjoy this speed…
